Written by Cancellular for mercenary record.

While a relatively low-level mercenary, D1V4 has become a visible face within the hacking community and to the world at large through her exploitation of social media. Doubling as a musician and a decker, most songs she has released to date have been performed by hacking a corporate server and forcing their own systems to act as publisher, distributor, and advertiser.

As a predominantly remote decker, D1V4 has maintained consistent secrecy in regards to her identity, though this has forced her to work entirely via the Net. While this practicality offers great protection from physical risks, it enforces that she work with physical teams, proxies, and routers to operate - ensuring her decking abilities are limited by factors such as team coordination and tool usage, and the prevailing noise of distance across the Net; as well as separating her from her team in the case of digital attacks and injury.

Her public image taps into the common anti-corporate sentiment prevalent among mercenaries, a stance that often supplements monetary motivations. While this has earned her general respect within the mercenary communities as well as with underground and lower-status societies, it has ensured corporations are well aware of her existence and are not only wary about working with her, but likely planning to remove her when possible.

That I've been this positive about your antics is itself a kindness, D1V4; considering the attention you bring upon us.
